Alissa has always had a love for movement and activity with involvement in Swimming, Surf Life Saving and Running growing up on the Mid North Coast of NSW.

During high school Alissa competed in National Level running in the USA and with this fell into Triathlon where she was Australian Age Group Champion. Alissa graduated from Griffith University in 2009 with a double degree in Exercise Science and Physiotherapy. She has recently finished her Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and is finishing her masters this year.

Alissa loves treating anything that is movement related – from sport to everyday activity. She has created a number of technique courses which assist people in improving their recruitment and efficiency during sport.

Alissa found Lissome Physiotherapy in 2014 and Lissome Studios in 2016. These studios work hand in hand to improve peoples health and wellbeing – assisting them to become Active, Nimble and Agile!

Leona is a physiotherapist who has a keen interest in addressing persistent pain and facilitating recovery through active, exercise based rehabilitation.
Leona graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours, Class 1) in 2015.
During her studies, Leona worked in a clinical Pilates studio alongside dance and sports physiotherapists, and an expert exercise physiologist specialising in chronic pain. Before coming to Lissome, she worked on the Coffs Coast whilst enjoying the wonderful coastal areas and national parks – something she looks forward to exploring on the Gold and Tweed coasts!
Leona has dabbled in a large variety of martial arts from childhood, and thoroughly enjoys the mental and physical discipline required. She was also involved with and received achievement awards for her lengthy involvement with an extracurricular theatre club during her school years. Leona lived overseas for almost a decade and speaks fluent German (her sense of humour is slowly returning).

Natasha has always been fascinated in the human body and how it worked. She enjoys interacting with people on a daily basis and was looking for a career that involved the communication aspect combined with movement. This sparked her interest in high school where she found herself volunteering in the sports injury clinic and getting a feel for what went on behind the scenes. Natasha immediately fell in love with helping and treating injured people and knew Physiotherapy was the right fit for her.

Natasha completed her Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. She is originally from The Bahamas and completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario in Canada. After spending two years in Sydney, she decided it was time for a change and moved to the Gold Coast where she fell in love with the place she now calls “home away from home”. Natasha’s sporting background includes dance, tennis, equestrian and currently has a passion for yoga. She is a fitness enthusiast and encourages healthy living.

Natasha is passionate about helping others. She wants people to live pain free, whether it is from sports related injuries or everyday aches and pains. She is here to help achieve faster recovery goals and maximize one’s physical potential.
